It has been a long winter at Burnt Biscuit Ranch but not without additions to the livestock.
On December 11th., "M.C." presented them with a beautiful and healthy calf. Then, just 22 days later, "Valentine" (after 6 hours of labor) dropped a huge bull calf. He named these two babies, "Beefis" and "Butthead".
In the meantime, there was a significant number of rodents in the barn; therefore, the need for barn cats became a priority. "Purrball" and "Johnny Cat", cousins to "Maggie Sniffles" came to Burnt Biscuit Ranch. A couple of months later, a wildguy who was named "Chatterbox" (another bobtail cousin) found his way to BBR. All three have snuggled into the tack room in the barn, well-fed, neutered and loved. Rodent hunting? That remains to be seen.
